The band have travelled and played for ceilis at most of the major
dancing events and festivals throughout Ireland, as well as playing
in England and in various parts of Europe and America. They have
recently returned from a dancing tour of the Caribbean where they
gained many more new admirers. In response to constant requests
from their many dancing friends, The Heather Breeze Ceili Band
released their first CD, in 2001, called 'Heather Breeze'.
It was an immediate best seller throughout the dancing world and
remains in constant demand wherever they play.
In recent years the band have been inundated with calls for another
recording, so, this summer 2004 they finally found the time to record
their second album entitled 'Music in the Glen'. Once again the
musical performance and recording quality is of the highest standard
and I am sure that it will be enjoyed by dancers and music lovers
everywhere.
This time they have included some of the most popular sets revived
in recent years, such as the Kilfenora set, from Clare, and the
Claddagh set, from Connemara. The other sets on the album, the Inis
Oirr set, from the smallest of the Aran Islands, the Ballyduff set,
from County Waterford and the delightful little Louisburgh set,
from their home County of Mayo, are equally in constant demand.
With the popularity of Two Hand dances growing all the time, The
Heather Breeze Band have just launched a new CD called 'Waltz of
the Bells' which includes music for all the popular dances and is
proving very popular with both dancers and listeners alike.
A new DVD entitled Pride Of Erin
two hand dances to match the music on the Waltz
of the Bells album plus some additional dances (23 tracks
in all) has just been released in Oct 2005 and is again proving
to be very popular.
The Heather Breeze Ceili Band hope that all their
friends and supporters will enjoy this website, please follow the
